The Theme Park - Ultimate Islands

For our final assignment for IT, we had to do a major assignment about everything we learnt. We had to create:
-a website
-a leaflet
-research
-presentation
-poster
These were all meant to be for the "theme parks" which we created
The theme park which I created is called Ultimate Islands and it consists of three main parts; Lovely Land, Thrill World and Kiddy Camp.
Overall, the project was done fairly well. Things such as the website I did pretty well in as I remembered the key steps in creating a website. The presentation and poster were the main things I struggled on as I forgot most of the skills/techniques needed in creating them.
Th biggest flaw in my project as a whole is my designing skills. No matter what, I can't seem to make anything look good, therefore making things such as my website very unappealing.
I believe that this project was able to refresh our memories on the skills which may prove to be useful in life.

This site is a very easy to use website to create many fun filled videos. Our task for Xtranormal was to create a video to make people aware of a particular problem that students face. There were a variety of options to choose from such as School Uniforms, lifestyle and cyber bullying. In the end, i chose to make a video of cyber bullying.
Using xtranormal was pretty easy to use and yet had many options for the video that i was trying to make.You could choose different backgrounds, characters and voices. Many customizeable animations and facial expressions made the videos more interesting. We are also able to change the camera angle.
After a few lessons working on my video about cyber bullying, I finally created a video which went for over 2 minutes which was very informative and funny :D

Web 2.0

SUP GUYS it's been a long time since I posted a blog but this new blog entry is about Web2.0/wikispaces.
First of all, we learnt how to set up a wiki on wikispaces. Using this wiki, we could create posts for just about anything. here is wikispaces- wikispace.com

Our task was to create a wiki about a Web 2.0 application and present it to the class as well as to give a 1 minute speech about our application.
The Web 2.0 application that I chose to present was called Kerpoof. This magnificent web application can be used to create many drawings such as stories, cards and doodles. This web application is especially good for people who aren't so good at drawing. With kerpoof, one is just a few clicks away from a work of art :D

Though, this task was quite easy, it was still quite difficult learning skills and learning about websites/applications that I've never used before. It was also difficult to insert pictures/screenshots into the wiki. On the plus side, kerpoof.com was a pretty easy to understand and use

3 Favourite and least favourite websites.

My 3 most favourite websites would have to be:
1.www.watchanime.com
2.www.mangastream.com
3.www.igoogle.com

watchanime.com's number one because of its large variety of anime online. Since watching Japanese anime's one of my most favourite past times, this is one of my favourite sites to watch anime from
Second would be www.mangastream.com. Not only does it upload certain manga faster than most other sites, it also allows me to read some of my most favourite manga.
Finally, www.igoogle.com as it can be customised into my personal site with various designs. Currently, I have my design set to a romantic manga series that i'm currently reading/watching. This let's me feel comfortable whenever i open the page as it provides a comforting.........pink page.

My 3 least favourite websites would have to be:

2.www.goplanit.com
3.www.runescape.com

Neilstoolbox.com might well be one of my least favourite websites. This is because I've spent many hours of my precious life spending time on this websites just to do bibliographies for my many projects over the years.
www.goplanit.com would be my second least favourite website as I'm currently doing a geography project about creating an itinerary. I will soon be spending a few hours of my life on that dreadful website.
Lastly, runescape.com would be another of my least favourite websites because it's filled with unkind, nerdy and people who are noobs.

This collage reflects some of my many adventures throughout my life. It shows my how much I've aged throughout my 14 years. This image also shows 2 of my many friends which are Sophie Che and Naomi Foo as well as my mum. The main effect that i used to create this collage was the blending effect :)

Magazine Cover

The main “effect” that I used in this project would be the motion blur/blur effect. In the main photo for the cover, there’s a slight blur to draw the reader’s attention more towards Nadal. I also used the “Bourne Motion Blur Effect” which we learnt in class for the second image. With this effect, I was able to edit the image in a way that main the ball and a bit of Rafael Nadal would stand out while the background was a bit grey and had a bit of motion blur.

This image was created using the "blending" technique on photoshop using many different tools.
